Canach are a fresh new trio combining Celtic music and contemporary folk. Hailing from the Isle of Colonsay, Edinburgh and the Isle of South Uist, their music draws on a rich cultural background to create exciting arrangements and original compositions. With fiddle, bagpipes, whistle and songs in Scots, Gaelic and English.

The three met during a cultural exchange to Brittany, France in 2011 after all being taught Traditional Music & Gaelic at Lews Castle College, Benbecula and have played together informally ever since before embarking upon this new project as "Canach". In their short time as a band they have already supported such acts as Anna Massie & Mairearad Green, Dr Mango & the Chickpeas and performed at events such as Knoydart Music Festival, Uddingston Folk Festival and Celtic Connections.
