The Fiddle Singers
Oban's BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2012 Rona Wilkie is joined by Kate Young and accompanist Marit Fält in a tour of the Highlands featuring the weaving of voice and fiddle playing. The fiddle-singers will have their last stop in Easdale Island.
Rona, who has been praised by the Herald for her "beautiful poise, control and expression", has recently exploded onto the Scottish scene, having won a number of awards at Celtic Connections in 2012.
Kate Young from Borthwick in the Lothians has toured internationally with her band Ethno in Transit to great acclaim and has recently finished recording an album with Eliza Carthy.
Marit Fält is a graduate of the Newcastle University Folk degree has recently won a Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections, and is a member of the trio VAMM with Catriona MacDonald formerly of Blazin' Fiddles and brilliant fiddle player Patsy Reid.
