Cool afro-beat jazz grooves from Senegal
Samba Sene was born in Senegal but now lives in Edinburgh. He writes his own material and sings in French, English and his native Wolof. Original songs with infectious guitar licks, sassy horns and irresistible dance beats. His style is strongly influenced by the jazzy grooves of Senegal and particularly by musicians like Baaba Maal (with whom he studied before leaving Senegal) and Salif Keita. He has a broad appeal, from world music fans to audiences that just want to dance to the beats.
Mbalax fusion, funky Afrobeats, impassioned vocals, infectious guitarlicks, sassy horns, a pinch of ska and irresistible dance grooves. Upbeat World music with a Senegalese soul.
